Cold & Heat Therapy

Introducing Therminater, The first step to full recovery.

Ermi has complemented its powerful motion restoring programs by adding a
premium Cold & Heat therapy solution.

Therminater™

Improved Solution for Ankle, Hip, Knee and Shoulder

The Therminater™ is a powerful and compact device that uses thermoelectric technology to provide cooling and heating therapy where and when you need it, without the use of ice. The device satisfies a clear, unmet clinical need targeted localized, non-opioid therapy with consistent temperature management.

  • Engaging your trusted Ermi professional reduces the burden of coordinating care across multiple vendors.
  • As a Joint Commission Accredited company, you can be assured your patients are receiving care from highly trained professionals following strict
    guidelines
  • Ermi’s ongoing patient monitoring will help you identify those patients struggling with their recovery.

Safe Temperatures and Therapeutic Temperatures

Cold

  • Cold induces vasoconstriction, reducing blood flow and increasing blood viscosity.
  • Lowering skin temperature to 50-59°F achieves therapeutic pain and swelling reduction by decreasing intra-articular temperatures.

Heat

  • Local heat application dilates blood vessels, boosting blood flow to and from the area.
  • Therapeutic range: 104-113.9°F, with tissue damage linked to the upper end of this range.

Therminater ™

Compact, easy to setup and use

  • Cold and heat therapy in one device
  • No ice required for operation
  • Can apply therapy in a temperature range between 46 to 118 degrees

PROGRAMS

Great Toe

Engineered to promote both extension and flexion by recreating the natural positioning of the foot and toe while walking.

MPJ Extensionater®

The loss of toe motion can cause pain and negatively impact walking and running, especially around the metatarsophalangeal joint (MPJ). The Ermi MPJ Extensionater is the only device engineered to promote both extension and flexion by recreating the natural positioning of the foot and toe while walking.

Controlled by the patient, our patented air bladder technology provides just the right amount of stretch to help the MPJ begin to glide normally.

PROGRAMS

Shoulder

Increases motion for those with restricted external rotation, abduction, flexion, and internal rotation.

The Shoulder Flexionater was an amazing device to use. I was able to regain mobility in my left shoulder. Highly recommend for people with shoulder issues.

Chris C. Patient

Shoulder Flexionater®

The shoulder is a dynamic joint that can move in many directions, and your rehabilitation device must be able to do the same. The high-intensity Ermi Shoulder Flexionater increases motion for those with restricted external rotation, abduction, flexion, and internal rotation. Working at home as an adjunct to physical therapy, you can stretch out a severely stiff shoulder with rapid and lasting results.

External Rotation and Abduction

Most arthrofibrosis from shoulder surgery occurs around the glenohumeral joint. The Shoulder Flexionater is designed to first improve external rotation and then abduction. An antirotation bar keeps the patient in place while working external rotation, while a pad atop the shoulder keeps the joint in place while working.

Internal Rotation

Internal rotation issues can be difficult to overcome. In these cases, physicians specifically order a Shoulder Flexionater with an internal rotation adaptor kit. It can extend range of motion in those more difficult to address situations.

Knee

Recreate the proper body alignment and force used by physical therapists to increase knee motion.

The Flexionater really helped me with getting my knee to bend. It was a great help having a device in my home to use that allowed me to move at my own pace but get the therapy I needed.

Phil M. Patient

After knee injury or surgery, the inability to achieve motion similar to the uninsured knee is the biggest risk factor for later complications. We offer 3 knee devices to allow the clinician to prescribe the best protocol to meet each individual patient’s needs.

ERMI Knee Flexionater device for non-surgical knee motion restoration, designed for patient-controlled high-intensity stretching to improve mobility and flexibility.

Knee Flexionater +™

ERMI Knee Flexionater device for non-surgical knee motion restoration, designed for patient-controlled high-intensity stretching to improve mobility and flexibility.

Knee Flexionater ®

ERMI Knee Extensionater with pneumatic air bladder technology for non-surgical knee extension recovery, enhancing mobility at home.

Knee Extensionater ®

Knee Flexionater +™

The Knee Flexionater+ combines both flexion and extension into a single solution, enabling the patient to stretch the total range of motion of the knee joint. Featuring our patented hydraulic mechanism, the patient can easily switch from working flexion to working extension in the same session.

The Flexionater can generate loads from zero to several hundred foot-pounds of torque to accommodate the specific mechanical characteristics of scar tissue found in each patient. Studies have shown success rates of more than 90 percent in patients who would otherwise have returned for surgical manipulation of flexion loss.

Common Indications

  • TKA
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Meniscal repair
  • Tibia fractures
  • Femur fractures
  • Patella fractures
  • Quad tendon repair

  • TKA
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Meniscal repair
  • Tibia fractures
  • Femur fractures
  • Patella fractures
  • Quad tendon repair

Knee Extensionater®

The inability to straighten your knee can result in not only knee pain, but pain and dysfunction in your other knee, hips, or lower back. The high-intensity Ermi Knee Extensionater allows you to recreate the proper body alignment and force used by physical therapists to increase knee motion and get back to normal function faster.

The Knee Extensionater is a portable, easy-to-use device that uses patented pneumatic air bladder technology to create overpressure to treat motion loss. The Knee Flexionater can generate loads from zero to several hundred foot-pounds of torque to accommodate the specific scar tissue characteristics found in each patient.

Common Indications

  • Patella Tendon Repairs
  • Patella Fractures
  • Tibial Plateau Fractures
  • Total Knee Arthroplasty/Replacement
  • Quadriceps Repairs
  • Knee Arthroscopies

I had full extension of my knee after 2 months and I am thrilled…I would highly recommend this to anyone. It’s simple, can be used while watching TV. Thank you for this wonderful product!

Elbow

The elbow is not a simple hinge joint. In addition to flexion and extension, the elbow can pronate and supinate.

I started using your product after surgery and have found it to be a great addition to my recovery. It has definitely helped me when I was not making the progress I wanted. This product speed up my recovery and allowed me to gain both flexion and extension faster then I was making in therapy alone.

Stephen S. Patient

Elbow Flexionater+™

Improved Solution for Elbow Motion Loss

Ermi’s new Elbow Flexionater+ provides flexion and extension with the benefits of our patented hydraulic mechanism.

The Elbow Flexionater+ combines both flexion and extension into a single solution, enabling the patient to stretch the total range of motion for the affected joint. The patented hydraulic mechanism provides the high-intensity controlled stretch necessary to achieve successful results. The Elbow Flexionater+ allows the patient to stretch in both pronated and supinated anatomical positions to achieve a very targeted stretch.

Benefits

  • Easy to follow program facilitates patient compliance
  • Restores the ability to perform activities of daily living in only one hour per day
  • Patient-controlled high-intensity stretch achieving up to 54 foot-pounds of torque
  • A safer alternative to secondary or revision surgery

Elbow Extensionater®

Different elbow injuries require the forearm to be positioned differently when stretching. The unique design of the Ermi Elbow Extensionater improves elbow extension while allowing perfect forearm alignment, no matter the injury.

The Elbow Extensionater is designed based on the principle of three-point bending. It is a small, easy-to-use device that uses a patented pneumatic air bladder technology to improve extension.

Common Indications

  • Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction
  • Radius fracture
  • Ulnar fracture
  • Humerus fracture
  • Biceps tear
